You already know that you want to be free, but do you understand what that means to you?

A big part of freedom is being able to be yourself, to be free, and to live life on your terms.  Most people live life on the terms of “what will others think if I do this.”

The way’s we live life are almost 100% based on our programing.  What is programing?  Well that is all the things you have learned you must do.  Where you learned it is not important in this post, but what is important is that now you are living your life this way.

Are you living your life the way you want to be living your life?  Probably not.  Read more…

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Unhappiness

So this month I have been focusing a lot on happiness, and one of my readers (Brian Green http://www.mindmagic123.com/) came up with this great title.  Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.

So I’m going to make a statement that is absolutely true.

You are in pursuit of unhappiness. You are chasing Unhappiness every day of your life.  You wake up seeking unhappiness and you go to bed tired from chasing after it all day long.  Unhappiness is your Goal in life, it is your ultimate vision, it is your destiny.

Does this sound true?  If it is true is it scary? Are you telling yourself that there is no way this is true?  Well it may be more true than you know.  Check out why below. Read more…

The 5 Myths of Happiness (you wont be happy till you understand these!)

The 5 Myths of Happiness (you wont be happy till you understand these!)

Everyone believes in happiness, but your beliefs may actually be false.  Happiness has many false beliefs. I will outline some of the most prevalent so that you can see them in your life.  Once you realize these are myths then you can begin to eliminate them, becoming more happy.

The 5 Myths

1) Happiness is time based

Are you waiting for happiness to happen  to you?  Is there a future time that you will be happy? Will it be after you retire?  When you get a new job?  When you get married or perhaps divorced?  Will it be the WEEKEND, or after 5:00 Pm today?  Will it be when you are in a relationship, when you lose weight, make more money, or any other future event?  People are waiting for happiness to happen to them.  They battle against the bad things in life and they hope that eventually happiness will come.  Happiness does not come in the future!  Happiness is not time based.  There is no amount of time that will create happiness. If you are on this earth for a hundred, or a thousand, or a million years you will not be happy.  If you are thinking that at some point in the future you will become happy this is a myth.  You can be happy now, but you can not be happy some day, for some day never comes.  Happiness is not predicated on time. It happens only in the now.

2) Happiness is event based

If I asked you “what would make you happy” you might respond with some event.  Something happening to you that would create happiness in your life.  Events come and go, but they don’t bring happiness with them.  Marriage, jobs, vacations, are all events, but will they really make you happy?  Have you ever been unhappy in any of these? If you have, this proves that happiness comes from somewhere other Read more…

The 5 Myths of Unhappiness (you wont be happy till you understand these!)

This was re-written from article 5 myths of happiness. http://wp.me/pxUjh-4A incase you need to see it from the point of unhappiness.  It is the same article, just reworded for unhappiness.

Everyone believes in unhappiness, but your beliefs may actually be false.  Unhappiness has many false beliefs.  I will outline some of the most prevalent so that you can see them in your life.  Once you realize these are myths then you can begin to eliminate them, becoming more happy.

If you have, this proves that happiness comes from somewhere other than an event.

    3) Unhappiness is related to “stuff”

Material things are nice.  They make life more comfortable.  They can be fun, but they don’t bring happiness.  Now we probably all know this to some degree, but most of us still live our life as if it is true.  You might say “money does not bring happiness” but deep down, in your core, you probably still feel that some degree of happiness comes from money. The truth is that if you are unhappy now, you will be unhappy when you have more stuff.  When you have more stuff there will be more taxes, more bills, more insurance, more things breaking, more problems.  Happiness and stuff are Read more…

You will not succeed…until you do these 3 things.

[tweetmeme source=”your_twitter_name” only_single=flase http://www.URL.com%5D

I am about to tell you the 3 things you must absolutely have to succeed. (to succeed in what area Justin?)

I have succeeded in many areas of life and will show how this helped me create a business with almost 2 million in assets using these same principals.  This applies not only to business success, but even more so to inner personal success.  You can succeed in everything you believe in.  So, without any more to say, lets begin.  Read on my friend…..

What is your next stage or step in life?  Where are you going?  Where do you want to go?  If you wrote down your ultimate “next stage” what would you write?

My next stage: (an example from my life)

I will speak and teach people how to have a better and happier life.  I will serve people, and help begin a mission of creating a Heaven on Earth.  I will create strong financial stability.  I also will create relationships that help me to grow into a stronger person.

So, what would the next stage be for you? Have you defined it yet?  Many people have an idea in their head of what their next stage is.  Some peoples  next stage is very concrete and its so strong that they can almost taste it.   I feel that way about mine.  I feel like it is just right outside of my current grasp.  I am just almost there; but I’m not there yet.

So what must you and I do to move into our “next stage” our “next evolution” or more simply put, to live our dream, to live our ultimate purpose, to really grow?  What must we do?  This is what this article is about.  What must you do to move into that next state? Read more…

How much can you sell your dreams for?

Dreams…. I am not talking about the things that you picture while asleep at night, I am talking about your great desires in life.

So what are your dreams, and what do you dream of?

dreams why do you give up on them?

me living one of my dreams.

Some of my biggest dreams are to help people enjoy their life, to serve unconditionally, to have an abundant life, to always learn, and to create financial security.  These are broad concepts of what I WILL accomplish in life, but the idea is there.

So, what is the dollar amount of these dreams?  How much could I sell them for?  How much would you pay me for these dreams?  Although this question seems a little silly lets analyze the concept of it.

The idea is what is the dream worth to me. Or, what would I trade it for? If you offered me a Lamborghini  in exchange for my dream of helping people change their life would I take it?  If you said Read more…

What is fear, overcoming fear.

February 16, 2010 3 comments

[tweetmeme source=”your_twitter_name” only_single=flase http://www.URL.com]

Fear

– Fear is never in the NOW.  Fear is always based on the past, or the future.

– You think something bad might happen to you.

– You did something bad and you think there might be bad consequences.

– If right NOW someone has a gun to your head the fear is not based on right NOW. The fear is based on what could happen soon. The fear is that you are about to get shot and or killed.  If the person with the gun was your friend and you knew the gun was empty, and you knew this person would never hurt you then your fear would be diminished greatly.  If you were an actor in a movie, and you were practicing filming with a gun this would be of little to no consequence, but because you think you might get shot then you are fearful.  Its not that the gun itself is a threat, or that the person holding the gun Is a threat, it’s that in the near future you could get shot.   Fear of the future!

– When you live in the NOW there is not fear.

– People scared of water or the ocean are scared that they will drown or get eaten by a shark.  Its not the water or the fact that they are in the water, it’s the fear of the future, or the fear of the unseen future.

– The important fact to keep in mind is that we only live in the NOW.  The future never happens, because NOW is all that we are ever experiencing.   Furthermore you are the one that decides your actions and changes the future.  You could take the gun from the person.  You could learn how to be a strong swimmer.   You could look at statistics on how miniscule shark attacks are, but you decide that you will assume the worst possible outcome in a future and unlikely event.

– Fear is useless.   Fear is not healthy.   If you do have a gun to your head fear will not keep you from getting shot. Fear will not let you think clearly so that you can work your way out of your situation.  Some may say that fear is a normal human feeling and that it is something that we can not choose. They may say that we can not help being fearful.   They may say that there is nothing you can do about fear.  This is completely false!  Who’s in control of your body?  You are in charge of your body.  You are in charge of how you feel.  You are running your mind. You can choose your feelings.

– This is so true.  You just have to learn how to do this.  One way to do this is to tell the truth about what is really going on.  The truth is you are alive. You have not been shot or drown, or eaten by a shark, and you will probably live through this too.  Tell the truth about what you fear.  It’s not real.   It’s made up in your head.   It’s not alive.  You are free to create your life.   You are free to create what you want.  When you look back on your life you will see that you have been through many challenges.  You have overcome every one of these or you would not be reading this NOW.  After overcoming these challenges you have become a stronger, smarter, and more efficient being.  Your challenges have made you a better person.  Why be scared of new challenges?  Face them head on.   Meet them with full force.  See them for what they are, and swim over them.  Think through them.  Accept them as being there right NOW.  The challenge is already here.  Being fearful wont change that. Accepting the challenge and figuring it out will!  Fear, don’t do it.   Fear, its not real.   Fear, it’s all in your head.  Fear, who cares?  Fear, wont fix anything.   Fear, pointless.  Fear, you create it.  Fear, it comes from inside, not outside.  Fear, purge it!

I have worked in law enforcement for many years.  I have been on the other side of the gun.   I have been on the other side of the fight.  I have been in many high speed car chases.   I have run through the bad neighborhoods, jumping fences, chasing the man with the gun.   If you ask me about fear in those situations I would say I did not have any.  I did not have time for fear.  You see if I stop for fear and give it control of my life, then the “bad man” gains a little more advantage.  I have to be in the NOW mindset.   I have to be tactical.  I have to be alert, and I have to be ready to do what I need to do to resolve.

What’s the opposite of fear?  How bout Peace?  Lets live in Peace NOW!

– Fear is never in the NOW. Fear is always based on the past, or the future.  Fear of the future will not change the future, it will only make the NOW uncomfortable.

Is this title true?  Some people feel it is, Some people complain about this all the time.  Some people even stop believing in a God because of this.  Some people feel that this is not true.  Read on and see if your thoughts on prayer change.

I was recently watching the movie “Evan all mighty” and  Morgan freeman was talking about prayer and opportunities.

Morgan said….

“If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience, or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If they pray for courage does God give them courage, or does he give them the opportunity to be courageous? If they prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities for the family to be closer?

What does the fraise “opportunity to be”  really mean?

Consider what you have prayed for, and what opportunities or challenges God may have given you in order to help you get what you asked him for.  Have you ever noticed this in your life?  It has probably happened, but usually we don’t see God giving us an opportunity to grow.  What we see is God punishing us….. So…..

This would be a good time for you to analyze when God may have given you an opportunity, that you asked for, and write this down, if you have not done so already………

Ok,  now that you have written this down I have a story for you.

As some of you may know I was in Puerto Rico a few weeks ago.  While in Puerto Rico I was talking with  a new friend of mine named Steve  D’Annunzio( www.Soulpurposeinstitute.com).   Steve and I were talking about prayer and gratitude.  I remember sharing how I was grateful for everything.

I look around me and all I see, everywhere, are things that I am grateful for.  Everything from getting up in the morning to the bills I have to pay are blessings.  How are my bills blessings??????  Perhaps that will be another article, but for now you can just know that I feel they are a blessing.  As I pondered on this topic I had an amazing new idea.  I shared my idea with Steve and he said that not only did he agree with my idea, but that he was already doing parts of it in his life.

What’s the big idea?

Before I tell you the big idea I have a few more thoughts. We seem to always be asking God for something. Even people that are not sure if they believe in God ask him for things.  It has even become a manor of speech, saying things like “God willing I’ll get a raise.” Ask ask ask seems to be all we do.  We also thank God for things, but it seems to me that asking is far more prevalent than thanking.  So this idea was born.  The idea is to only say prayers of Gratitude.  I thought that it would be great to only pray gratitude for a full year.

I told Steve about this idea and he got very excited.  Steve said “a year of gratitude, I wonder what that would do.” Steve then continued to ask me questions like how many times I was going to pray a day or a week etc.  We continued a great conversation about our feelings on prayers.

I loved this idea so much that I have committed myself to doing it for the next year.  I am committed to having a year of gratitude prayers.  I began this quest and have been working on it for a few weeks now.

Old habits die hard!  At first this was somewhat difficult.  I have a habit of praying and asking for what I want.  I would catch myself falling into this trap.  However, as the weeks have continued my gratitude prayers have grown stronger and more focused.  I have learned some amazing things In my prayers.

Tomorrow my wonderful Grandfather goes into the hospital for surgery.  I have driven to where he lives so that I can help him and help drive him to the hospital.  The vehicle that I drove up here in has been having some problems recently, and as soon as we started our trip the check engine light came on.  This is all very true.  This is also things that in the past I would have prayed for and asked God to grant me safe passage, asked for a vehicle that would make it, asked that the surgery would go well etc.

However, I am committed to my new goal of thanking God for all that I have.  So, I prayed while traveling up here, and this is my prayer.  I am grateful for a country where Doctors are amazing and well skilled at what they do.  Thank you for providing my grandfather with great health care.  Thank you for a vehicle that is running strong and has always made it to its destination.  Thank you for the food that you have provided me to eat on this trip………….

Was my prayer of gratitude answered?  Yes!  It absolutely was.  How was it answered?  God gave me a sense of thankfulness.  God gave me a sense of peace.  My gratitude removed all stress and negative feelings.  I traveled in peace and comfort.  I felt free and alive.

Gratitude is a great healer of bad attitudes. Next time you are feeling unhappy spend a few minutes listing the amazing things in your life that you are grateful for.  Your unhappiness will vanish like money in a bank account.

Do you have the guts to give God a year of gratitude?  I bet it will change your life.  You might not want to go back to the needy begging attitude after the year is up.

I would love to hear if any readers are also interested in doing this for the next year.  So if you are feel free to comment with the words “I am committed to a year of gratitude prayers.”

Current Mood *Gratitude*

Preface: This blog was more difficult for me to write or publish than any blog I have previously written.  This was due to the style and openness that I wrote it in.  It is literally based on a dream that I had a few days ago.  I hope that as you read it you can find ways that you can create your life the way you really want it to be created.  Keep reading to see why it was hard for me to write. Be strong, and enjoy!

Last night I was lying on the operating table cold like a slab of meat.  Someone had broken into my house and stabbed me.  I was literally bleeding to death.  My emotions were high as I wondered if I would live.  I slowly felt the room getting dark.  I was nervous, scared, and anxious for what was about to happen.  Emergency doctors were rushing around trying to fix me up, but to no avail.

I passed away at 2:37 am central time. A warm beautiful and glorious feeling overcame my entire soul.  I felt free of the earth, free of my physical body, and free of the stress and troubles of life. A sense of warm unconditional love surrounded me as I floated toward what appeared to be total pure love.

I felt so much love that It is hard to describe, but I also felt anxiety.  Had I fulfilled my life?  Had I done my part?  Had I created a Heaven on Earth?

As I wondered on these things my earthly emotional attributes seemed to return to me.  I realized that I was still myself, even though I was removed from my body.  I had the same concerns.  I realized that I “should” have done more.  Slowly I recognized the feeling of another presence with me.  This feeling seemed familiar, like my best friend was standing in the room with me. This feeling also seemed new.  It was strange because I felt as if I had known this person for all my life, yet never fully met them.  I soon realized that I was standing in the presence of my maker.  I was surrounded by nothing but unconditional love.  It seemed that I was in pure bliss.  My earthly troubles washed away like oil washes off the road when it rains.  the As I stood in the presence of my maker he spoke to me.  His warm voice told me many private things that I don’t wish to repeat.  He also told me how amazing and wonderful I was.  How I am his son.  How pleased with me he was.  He also voiced concerns with me.  He said that I was so amazing, but that I let him down.  He shared that he had expected even greater things from me than I had performed.  He told me that although I had been a good person I had not lived up to my full potential.

He said all of this in a very loving and forgiving voice, but he expressed that I was chosen to be great, to be awesome, to change the world.  He said that he had given me abilities far beyond what I had accomplished.  He asked me questions about the time I had wasted when I could have been helping 1000’s of people.

As we talked I found myself anxious, but I felt a growing desire to speak my mind.  I was becoming excited as I saw new possibilities before me.  He sensed that I had something to say.  He asked what it was that I waned to share.  My excitement burst out of me.  I knew it was time for me to grow.  NOW! This was my chance to be what I always knew I could be.  This was my chance to really overcome.  This was my chance to not worry about what others thought of me, but to just do what MUST be done.

I began to speak.  I knew he was right about me.  I knew I had not lived up to my potential.  I told him of this.  I told him how I was stronger than I had lived.  I told him how I had gotten encumbered by the world and had not fulfilled my true and total destiny.  I then said that I waned to go back to my body.  I was not ready to leave it yet.  Even though I felt so much love and peace and was truly happy here with him I felt a desire to help my brothers and sisters on earth. I pleaded with him to send me back.

He asked me why?  He told me that I had already lived my life.  He said that I had my chance, that my turn was up.  I made him a promise. I said “if you send me back I will blow you away. I will knock your socks off.  I will change the world.  I will create Heaven on Earth.”  I felt his love, compassion and forgiveness engulf my body.

Last night I bled to death in the emergency room.

Are you alive, or are you walking dead?  You are amazing.  Are you fulfilling that?  How can you create more?  How can you serve more?  What is Heaven on Earth, and what simple things can you do to create this?

We all have the potential to amaze.  We all can “knock his socks off.”  But will we?  Will you?

Today I walked out of the hospital alive and free……

My mission is great, but so is my power.  I have been given great abundance.  I have the ability to help 1000’s of people.  I am going to knock his socks off!

A few questions for you.

  1. Does it matter if this story is true or is made up?
  2. Are you living up to your full potential?
  3. What else do you want to do?

Goal for my new life.  ( hint, you can make your own) Teach and inspire positive change in massive degrees.

Today, create your new life goals.  How will you really amaze him?  How will you fulfill your full potential?
